THE MIX: HOLIDAY '04There is no sense denying the obvious: the holiday season is now among us. While there is much to hate about it all – the long lines, the increased stress, the ridiculous toys and the sickening overcommercialization (is that even a word?) – there is one area we can all attain enjoyment from: the music. And since we’re now into December, it is finally appropriate to play it to our heart’s content (B believes Kerry would have won the election were he to suggest a law outlawing the playing of Christmas tunes before Thanksgiving. Talk about having your pulse on the real problems of America!). I have yet to find a Christmas album that is solid from beginning to end. Without fail, every album suffers from inappropriate renditions and forgettable tracks. For those who feel the same, please take note of the very first World of B mix: Holiday Season 2004. 1. The Christmas Song – Stevie Wonder My goal with this mix was to create an enjoyably random set of tunes. Christmas music is wonderfully eclectic, so why not have an album that accurately represents this? Dean Martin followed by The Ramones, Tom Jones before Frank Sinatra – is there any other way? Revel in the random merriment, y'all.

Hey, what are you doing back here? You've somehow stumbled into the WoB archives. We really aren't supposed to allow readers in this section, so please promptly return to the new, re-designed, slightly less terrible World of B homepage. Thanks.
